Testing the limit of near-range pano shooting.
I tried many 360 systems but all of them failed to stitch nicely if the cam was getting too close to the objects. Taking 3D just getting the problem worse. keeping a 2m clear radius was a norm but sometimes it’s not quite practical for a realistic recording. We fine tuned our rig for another test. There are still some minor mis-alignment but shall not be obvious when viewing with VRPlayer. I think this is a closer step for some practical use. Enjoy
p.s. This is a frame taken from our video. VRplayer+VLC/DirectShow cannot play a 6kx6k video. Not sure if it’s a codec issue or limited by my hardware.

Hi,
What type of camera did you use? And how did you stitch the video together? Thanks!
Hi, the video was taken with a brunch of custom-made 10mp fisheye lens on a 3000x3000 video camera, and stitched with PTGUI, frame by frame. Resulting 3D pano at 6000x6000. With super wide overlapping and accurate positioning of the lens, we can take objects at very close distance without breaking them.
Why I cannot view picture with vr player? I can view any video with it but cannot view images, it shows black screen, I am using android smartphone, please help
Sorry but the Android version does not support images yet.
